Fair Harbour [PC Village]

Current NPCs

  • Woodcutter Hetcher Hackle has been found out to be a corrupted cultist and has vanished from the village with his ‘bride’
  • The children have all gained an imaginary female friend who they meet with at the abandoned lumber mill at the edge of the Fair Harbour clearing according to their parents.
  • Windswept Flower has left on a private mission.

New NPCs

  • Kyrai has established a library in Fair Harbour after adventuring to an elven temple and finding books and scrolls. She is documenting local history and geography.
  • Nimue and Thorin were given sanctuary in Fair Harbour as their relationship, an Elf and a Dwarf, is frowned on both societies.
  • Pancakes the Master Baker, has arrived from Labella’s Tavern and is now working with Varic, owner of The Demon’s Drum Tavern to brew Elven Fire-Wine amongst other things.

New Features

  • Fair Harbour Library
  • Woodvale Farm Building

Relationships

  • Initial alliance negotiations with the Fae Alliance and the Shadowhoof Harass. Initial meeting at a village meeting was interrupted by Alderon [PC] breaking into Varic’s tavern and setting off a smoke trap.
  • Windswept Flower jokily mentioned to Keolith [PC] that they were betrothed. A fact he believes is true.

News

  • The town was attacked by a Gnoll raid, although the Gnolls should have been stopped by Yuirwood first. Apparently saved by a fire-breathing, black-feathered dragon. [Enka while disguised, flying and using magic]
  • Quill, an inspector for Yuirwood on foresting rights from Thaecil has come to inspect Hetcher’s lumbermill and practices. He has sent word before arrival to a woman named Lady Ironhammer, who pretended to be the leader of the village.
  • With new information gathered by both parties, the location of the lost temple of Angarradh may have been located at the source of the river Labella.

Yuirwood [Wood Elves]

News

  • Chief Anuriel Timberrock has received word that strangers arrived asking to cure the corruption. He has now placed tighter restrictions on his daughter and sent out more Gillies to protect the forest.
  • In the Godsglade Temple, Kevlannan [PC] received visions from his patron deity and major god of the wood elves, Angarradh on her champions weapon.
  • A tavern called Labella’s, run by Esmerelda, has appeared on the road near Yuirwood.
    • It is currently infected by a corrupted corpse in one of the bedrooms and ‘cannot’ teleport away.
    • She claims the tavern has magical properties such as teleportation while the patrons claim some it also has a form of time distortion.
    • Esmerelda has yet to show her true intentions

Donragh [Mountain Dwarves]

New NPCs

  • The ghost of  the Dwarf Marna Forgestone, part of the lost Prince Doric’s privy council. Her unfinished business is to tell King Rurik his son is dead. The only person to initially see her was Ragbek, [PC] a human raised by Dwarves.

Relationships

  • A race of dwarves from the Underdark have taken hold in Ruvalk’s Hold. They have barricaded themselves deeper within the town in fear of creatures near the surface. Their ghosts have expressed a deep seeded hatred of Danrogh dwarves.

News

  • Ruvalk’s Hold has been discovered. It is a lost Dwarven Kingdom founded by the selfish desires of Prince Doric, the son of the first Dwarven King, Rurik. His existence in the royal family tree has been scrubbed from history.
  • He commissioned an artefact to point him to his heart’s desires like a compass named The Vessel of the Stars. It is now in the possession of Nej [PC] and possessed by the spirit of Marna.

Ley Magic [Concentrated Wild Magic]

News

  • Two new fissures have opened up in Vandor and Onodrim
  • Ley magic can become concentrated in the body
  • An expulsion of this magic is now known to cause mutations
  • New discoveries have lead to a theory that ley magic, soul magic (only wielded by gods) and the corruption are intrinsically linked

The Corruption [Demonic Infection]

New Features

  • The visual and physical manifestation of the Corruption is in the form of fungi. and can grow on any surface and can convert living tissue to feed on. This can range from spores, to mycelium and fungal growths and forests.
  • Some are known to be carriers, allowing the corruption to spread past the edges of the forest and the Yuirwood Gillies.
  • Corruption consumes its host, causing it to become part of a new fungal growth to spread corruption further.
  • Healing magic causes this process to violently accelerate, causing the plant and host to explode.
  • Could be connected with a hallucinogen, primarily a female form
  • Deemed to be intelligent, or at least have intelligence behind it.

News

  • Infected wood was placed in a cave in the Zak mountains behind Fair Harbour.
  • Hetcher’s mill has been cleansed of corruption by Windswept Flower
  • Distinct chance that it is now being carried throughout the region by merging with ley line magic. A fact that it can only do if the corruption is a pure manifestation of some form of magic.

The Region [Everything Else]

New NPCs

  • The Dohwar Holy Requisitions Board of Directors
  • An Emporer penguin based species from a different plane.
  • Once mercantile and organised, only one seems to have retained sentience from the displacement.

News

  • Demonic creatures with pale slender figures, grotesque hands, and a featureless face bar it being covered with many many mouths has been found roaming the Fhaeorn hills in Onodrim. They are deadly tricksters and should be avoided at all costs.
